It is clear that the capital of Denmark is not the cheapest city in the world, but as we already told you here, you don't have to be a millionaire to enjoy it. The same goes for food: there are a few places and restaurants to eat in Copenhagen (good and cheap) and today we are going to tell you 10!

We were eating here on my birthday hehe, it caught our attention because it is a greek restaurant that offers free buffet... and very cheap. When we discovered it it cost 49DKK (€ 6.5), although we have been advised that the price has now risen to 69DKK the buffet at noon and 99DKK at night, yes, you wear your boots. There are many options of Greek food but there are also classic proposals such as salads, pasta ... Obviously for this price the quality is not Michelin star, but if you want to fill the belly and eat fairly well in the center of Copenhagen, it is a great place. We would repeat without hesitation.

Another restaurant that offers the buffet formula (Although there is also a letter for those who only want a plate). The good thing is that the buffet is not only a noon, they also propose night, yes, something more expensive (€ 12 and € 17 respectively). At noon there are dishes such as Danish meatballs, sausages, bacon, breaded fish fillet, charcuterie, eggs, herring and much more. At night there is chicken, pasta, veal, potatoes, salads, lamb and more delicious things ... To drink ask for the 20DKK glass of water (€ 2.60): it can be filled for free!

It's always the perfect day for a pizza, right? Or that is what our stomach thinks hehehe. If in Copenhagen you feel like eating a rich pizza We recommend those of Pizzeria Mamemi. Obviously the prices are not Italian (aiiiins) but hey, it is a dish that fills up a lot 😉 We recommend you try the potato, sausage and rosemary pizza (85DKK, about € 11).

If you are near the Central Station it is a good place to stop and eat something fast and healthy. On the menu you will find salads, snacks and soups (average price, about € 8 without drink). The place is tiny but very cozy and nice staff, which is always appreciated. The only bad thing is that closes at 15.30 so no dinner! Tip: try the mango chutney chicken sandwich (60DKK).

Halmtorvet, 1

Is a restaurant-bookshop full of personality and ideal especially for lovers of brunch (they serve it from 9 to 14). Recommended the classic brunch that includes toasted black bread, butter, jam, ham, eggs, sausages, bacon, pancakes with marple syrup, yogurt with fresh fruit and orange juice (or smoothie of the day). The price is 109DKK (about € 14).

Fiolstraede, 10-12

A perfect little piece to take some beer and try the famous Danish toast (smørebrød) that here they are homemade, prepared with love and that cost about € 3. It is a typical and authentic place, where you will be surrounded by both tourists and locals. Cool!

If you feel like Asian food, the Tonkien District, is a very good idea. It specializes in food fromVietnam and in particular the banh mi (sandwiches) that are served with a main ingredient (try the pork marinated in 5 spices), mayonnaise, cucumber, cilantro, chili and tonkin sauce. It costs 58DKK (about € 7). There's also pho bo, but the price is already doubled.

Mikkel Bryggers Gade, 2 / Dronningens Tværgade, 12

If, like us, you freak out food markets, you have to stop by as there are options for all tastes (from Mexican tacos to African food, from French crepes to pizzas, from sushi to hamburgers, etc ...). Come on, street food, good atmosphere and a huge variety. What else to ask for? Average prices: € 8-12.

We cannot forget the hamburgers (which we know you are many hehe). In this small place they eat some of the best hamburgers in Copenhagen. There is a pretty good deal for 99DKK (about € 13) that includes hamburger, potatoes and drink. There is a vegetarian option.

Throughout the city there are a few hot dog street stalls that can save your life, since they only cost about € 4. They are scattered around the main squares of the center, it will not take long to find them.
